Yes, I would and I have. However, I am wise enough to realize that just because there is tons of hype, it does not necessarily mean I will like the book, nor that I will finish it!

Absolutely! There are two genres I totally refuse to read: erotica and horror. No amount of hype will get me to read any book in either of the two. Also, NO e-books for me, either, hype or no hype!

I too have read books that had been hyped about but they were books that I liked the synopsis of, it wasn't something that I just picked up specifically because of the hype...if that makes sense LOL
